celebrating,international,children's,dayThe Royal Government of Cambodia organized a solemn national gathering to celebrate the 75th anniversary of International Children's Day on June 1st and Cambodia Children's Day 2025 and the 24th anniversary of the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12 as a reminder of the basic rights of the child.
Office of MoSVY, On the morning of May 29, 2025, the General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), in collaboration with ministries, institutions, and non-governmental organizations, organized a solemn national gathering to celebrate the 76th anniversary of International Children's Day on June 1 and Cambodia Children's Day 2025 under the theme " Ending all forms of violence against children is sustainable human resource developmen"t" and the 24th anniversary of the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, under the theme" "Promoting decent work for young workers in all production lines to ensure sustainable development."
The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY) and President of the CNCC, and Her Excellency Chea Phalkun Chea Somethy, High Representative of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Honorary President of the CNCC. The event was attended by His Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, representatives of ministries and institutions, representatives of children from public schools, and children from non-governmental organizations, totaling approximately 350 people.
Please also note: Celebrating this day to commemorate the fundamental rights of the child, to show the strong commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to continue to promote the better implementation of the rights of the child, and to celebrate the achievements of the Royal Government of Cambodia as a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
