Roles and responsibilities of the Cambodia National Council for Children
Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC) is the Secretary of the Royal Government, with the role of coordinating and consulting on activities related to children. Participate in reviewing and advising on draft laws and legal documents related to children. Develop policies, plans, programs, and activities for the benefit of children. Disseminate the law on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and other international instruments related to the rights of the child, the Royal Government's policies and regulations on issues related to children and mobilize support for the implementation of the rights of the child to be effective. Research and provide information on the needs and issues related to children in Cambodia to the Royal Government Institutions and competent organizations. Implement the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and the recommendations of the Royal Government to promote the rights and interests of children. Promoting child protection in all its forms. Communicate with the national and international community to seek support and exchange information and experiences and perspectives on improving the situation of children. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and prepare reports on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and additional protocols of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international instruments related to the rights of the child and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Royal Government. the National Program for Children in Cambodia and propose to the Royal Government the needs and issues that ensure the best interests of children. Prepare reports on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and additional protocols of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international instruments related to the rights of the child and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Royal Government.
