Office of the MoSVY On the morning of May 7, 2025, the General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), in collaboration with World Vision International Cambodia and ERIKS organizations, organized a children's forum and policymakers under the theme "Ending all forms of violence against children is sustainable human resource development." The purpose of this forum was to promote children's participation in the policy-making process and to share progress, challenges, and solutions to the problems children are facing.
The forum provided an opportunity for children to raise questions and suggestions related to the issue of violence against children in all its forms to five speakers from relevant ministries and institutions. At the same time, all speakers presented the progress of the work and efforts of the Royal Government in relation to the launch of the National Development Strategic Plan, policies, laws, legal norms, action plans, and strengthening multi-sectoral child protection mechanisms at the national and sub-national levels to prevent violence against children in all its forms and develop human resources sustainably.
Meanwhile, the results from the forum will be prepared as a joint statement by children to be delivered to the Head of the Royal Government at the ceremony to celebrate the 76th anniversary of International Children's Day on June 1, the 24th anniversary of the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, and Cambodian Children's Day 2025. This statement will be incorporated into the plans of relevant ministries, institutions, and partner organizations to jointly help solve children's problems.
The forum was chaired by Her Excellency Khiev Borey, Secretary of State, High Representative of His Excellency Chea Somethy, Minister of MoSVY, and Chairman of the Cambodia National Council for Children.
