Takeo Province—April 8-9, 2026: The General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), in collaboration with ChildFund Cambodia and the Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation of Takeo Province, organized the training courses on child safety online for social service workers in Takeo province.
The purpose of training is to (1) build knowledge on child online safety among social service workers to become trainers and practitioners in promoting child online protection, with a specific focus on technological advancements and considering children’s perspectives; (2) enhance technological solutions, focusing on the development and deployment of technological solutions for preventing and curbing child online sexual exploitation and abuse, especially in the form of child sexual abuse images, sexual threats, and live streaming of child sexual abuse; and (3) promote collaboration between national and sub-national levels through sharing knowledge and good practices between stakeholders from various sectors, including government, civil society organizations, academics, and technology industry companies.
The training course was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Nop Rithear, Deputy Secretary General, a high representative of H.E. Kim Sovandy, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the CNCC. The training course was attended by a total of 37 social service workers from relevant departments, police inspectorates and officials from all city hall and districts of Takeo province.
