Meeting with the Senate's Human Rights Commission for Complaints, Investigations, and Inspections.

The General Secretariat of the CNCC met with the Human Rights Commission for Complaints and Investigation and Inspection of the Senate to present the progress of work related to the promotion of children's rights in Cambodia and work collaboration.



Senate Building—July 24, 2025: The General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), led by H.E. Khiev Borey, Secretary of State and Vice-President of the CNCC; the high representative of H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of the MoSVY and Chairman of the CNCC; and H.E. Kim Sovandy, Secretary-General of the CNCC Secretariat, met with H.E. Ngy Chanphat, Chairman of the Human Rights Complaints, Investigations, and Inspection Committee of the Senate.

During the discussion, H.E. the Chairman of the Committee presented the roles and responsibilities of the Senate and the work results of the Senate Committee. 1. At the same time, H.E. Kim Sovandy, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the CNCC, informed about the progress of some work, including: 1). Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child 2). Preparation of International Children's Day and Cambodian Children's Day on June 1 and World Day Against Child Labor on June 12 3). National Policy on Child Protection System 4). Promoting Child Safety Online 5). Preparation of the National Action Plan on Preventing and Responding to Violence against Children 2025-2030 and 6). Preparation of the First World Ministerial Conference to End Violence against Children and the National Children's Conference.
