Community Dialogue on Child Online Safety

Battambang Province: On June 21, 2024, H.E. Nop Rithea, Deputy Secretary General, High Representative of H.E. Kim Sovandy, General Secretary of the General Secretariat CNCC, participated as a speaker in the community dialogue on child online safety. The purpose of this dialogue is for the children to participate, comment, challenge, and ask questions of the speakers about prevention mechanisms and solutions to all issues related to child online safety.

At the same time, the child representative offered some suggestions to the General Secretariat of the CNCC, as well as the representative of the Battambang provincial authority, to support some activities related to child online safety. Responding to the request of the child's representative, the speaker, the local authority accepted and committed to reviewing and including in its action plan related to the prevention and response of child online safety.

This forum has six speakers: the Deputy Provincial Governor, the Provincial Committee for Counter Trafficking, the Department of Women's Affairs, Representative ChildFun Cambodia, and Representative OEC. A total of 60 people participated, including children, teachers, and parents.
