Consultation Workshop with Children and Youth to Develop the National Plan on the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028

Siem Reap Province, September 20-21, 2024. The General Secretariat of CNCC organized a consultation workshop with children and youth to review the preparation of the National Plan for the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028.

The purpose of this workshop is to: (1) review and provide input on the draft National Plan on the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028. (2) Share experiences and best practices of children and youth who have been actively involved in the prevention, response, and support services for children affected by violence, as well as demonstrating the participation of children and youth as rights holders in promoting their rights and their superior interests.

The workshop was chaired by H.E. Kim Sovandy, General Secretary of the General Secretariat CNCC, High Representative of H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of Ministry MoSVY, and Chairman of the Cambodia National Council for Children, with the participation of Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, Ladies and Gentlemen, Representatives of Ministries, Institutions, and Development Partners, as well as children and youth from relevant organizations, teachers, and students of Wat Bo Primary School, Siem Reap Province, a total of 120 people attended the event.
