Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group Meeting to Develop the National Plan on the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028

The General Secretariat of the CNCC organized a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group to review and decide on the input raised by the representatives of the Ministries, Children's Institutions, and relevant partner organizations in the National Action Plan for Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children in 2024-2028.



Kampot Province, from 16-17 October 2024, the General Secretariat of the National Council of Cambodia for Children (CNCC), in collaboration with UNICEF, Plan International Cambodia, and APLE, organized an inter-ministerial technical working group meeting to review the preparation of the draft National Plan on the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028.

The purpose of this meeting is (1) to review and decide on the input raised by representatives of partner organizations, children's representatives, and relevant ministries and institutions to add to the National Action Plan on the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028. (2) To review and study each of the strategies contained in the Draft National Action Plan.

The meeting was chaired by Her H.E. Gen. Dr. Pon Samkhan, Secretary General of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking and Deputy Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group for the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Response to Violence Against Children 2024-2028, and High Representative H.E. Kim Sovandy, General Secretary of the General Secretariat CNCC. With the participation of Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, ladies and gentlemen from ministries, institutions, and relevant partner organizations, a total of 57 people attended the event.
