Phnom Penh: September 26, 2024, the General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), in collaboration with ChildFund Cambodia, organized the officail launching ceremony on training book and material package on child online safety.
The officail launching ceremony under the high presidency of H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of Ministry MoSVY, and Chairman of the Cambodia National Council for Children, with the participation of Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs is the Vice Chairman and Member of the CNCC, ladies and gentlemen from ministries, institutions, and relevant partner organizations, guardians and children, a total of 162 people attended the event.
Please be informed that: General Secretariat of CNCC In collaboration with ChildlFund Cambodia, we have developed textbooks and teaching materials for child online safety training through the Swipe Safe project since early 2023. The preparation of textbooks and training materials for child online safety training is divided into four types of lesson packages, focusing on the following target groups: 1) - Books for training of trainers, 2) - Books for training social service work forces, 3) - Books for training parents, guardians and caregivers, and 4) - books for training of adolescents and young people. The development of textbooks and training materials is based on the Asia-Pacific online child safety model that has been implemented since 2017 through the Swipe Safe project. This child online safety training focuses on strengthening the knowledge of the social services work forces, parents, and adolescents to understand how to use the Internet safely and responsibly and protect themselves from other online abuses, especially the participants can learn how to seek help and respond when challenges arise online.
